Russell (Rus) grew up with a family who had deep-seated roots in the hospitality industry; this is where he inherited his passion for the business. In fact, the restaurant business is synonymous with his life work. He started out in the industry as a busboy, worked a number of line positions, and at the age of 15, became the manager of a snack bar at an exclusive country club in Highland Park, IL.

Rus received his bachelors degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and after graduating Summa Cum Laude, he was recruited to work for the Hyatt Regency in Sarasota, FL.

In addition to a grassroots understanding of the hospitality business, Rus also has experience working as a manager, general manager and Director of Operations. He opened up the Atlanta, Dallas and Orlando markets for Bay Street , a Pillsbury concept. He also worked closely with corporate offices at Showbiz Pizza Time (now CEC Entertainment); First Watch and Fuddruckers to recruit, hire and train restaurant managers for new and existing markets. He made recommendations to corporate and often hired employees for non-management positions who he knew would gradually be able to move into successful management positions.

While in Dallas, he decided it was time to strike out on his own. He and his wife, Betsy, identified a needed niche and developed, conceptualized and opened a successful Chinese carryout and delivery concept.

Today, Rus is a Certified Personal Consultant (CPC) and Certified Temporary Staffing (CTS) Specialist. These designations are the industrys badge of professionalism and seal of excellence and hold their recipients to the industrys highest standard; it is the publics assurance that their needs will be met with quality service.

These professional personnel certifications provide Rus with up-to-date placement knowledge of current employment laws and procedures. They ensure that he is armed with the ability to match knowledgeable, experienced candidates with the right company and that recruiting rules are clearly defined by federal, state and local governments. CPCs and CTSs must also agree to participate in mandatory continuing education, at least 17 hours each year, for each certification.

CPCs and CTSs take the extra step to provide their clients with leading-edge market expertise, making their services even more valuable in an ever-changing industry.
